Support to teachers’ training in Panjshir
As to ease access to higher professional training for teachers from our schools in Panjshir – consequently enhancing the quality of teaching in Panjshir Valley, Afghanistan Libre purchased 2 buses of 25 seats each as to ensure the daily transportation of 50 teachers from Malalaï Secondary School to those training centres (the TEC). As for academic year 2009-2010, the buses drove, in two shifts, about 120 teachers.
Providing those professional trainings
enables the teachers to improve their knowledge and further their education for two years, allowing them to reach the bachelor level – required by the Afghan Ministry of Education to be a teacher.
A cooperation with the Provincial Direction for Education in Panjshir was set for managing the buses. Afghanistan Libre has borne costs for running the vehicles (petrol and maintenance) whereas drivers’ wages were paid by the Provincial Direction for Education in Panjshir.
